Cambria Cambria is an
unincorporated coastal community located approximately 35 miles north of San Luis Obispo
and 6 miles south of Hearst Castle. Population is approximately 6,100. Cambria has 3 banks, a high school, an intermediate and a grammar
school, plus a private Montessori school. Originally subdivided over 70 years
ago, Cambria was developed into a community of small, average size vacation homes. Recent
trends have expanded Cambria to a village of full time workers, retirees, along with the
large number of people who call Cambria home for long vacations in homes that overlook the
ocean or sit serenely in the pines.
